With the reform of the Leuphana Semester, the new Transformation Module (T-Modul) was introduced in winter semester 2025/26 as a foundational module taken by all first-year students across the five faculties. The Student Council project establishes a deliberative participation format in which a representatively sampled group of students systematically feed their perspectives into the ongoing development of the module. The council convenes 3-4 times per semester to work on questions around structure, content, and the interplay of teaching formats (lecture, seminar, project work); its work is scientifically accompanied to evaluate the format itself as a model of participatory teaching development. Around 1,400 first-year students per cohort benefit indirectly.

The project is funded by Leuphana's Studienqualitätsmittel (innoSQM) and runs from October 2025 to December 2026.
