Our mission As an international team, we research and teach in an interdisciplinary manner and incorporate ways of thinking, working, and acting from different disciplines and knowledge cultures. In addition to teaching and research, we are committed to bringing about change in educational practice and strengthening mutual learning processes between civil society and academia.
Sachunterricht We contribute to Leuphana University's teacher education programs in the subject area of Sachunterricht and its didactics. Sachunterricht is the third main subject in German elementary schooling (next to German and Maths). It uses an integrative interdisciplinary approach to explore real-world phenomena from children's life worlds by integrating different social and natural science disciplines and perspectives (e.g., geography, history, politics, economics, sociology, engineering, physics, chemistry, biology).
