How do sustainability innovations in higher education grow beyond the niches in which they emerge? In our recent Viewpoint article, we argue that scaling in Higher Education for Sustainable Development (HESD) involves two movements: a deeper integration of sustainability into the core structures of teaching, research and institutional practice, and a more inclusive positioning that opens participation beyond the usual actors and settings. This page collects examples of niche innovations that illustrate these movements, initiatives that have scaled or that show how scaling could work.

This collection is meant to grow: if you know of an initiative that belongs here, we invite you to contribute it via this short form.
