I am a research associate in the ESD and Sachunterricht group. As a Lecturer with Special Responsibilities, I am responsible for teaching Sachunterricht from bachelor to master level, as well as for supervising the long-term teaching practicum (GHR 300) in Sachunterricht. My responsibilities also include subject coordination for Sachunterricht.

It is very important to me to convey a deep understanding of scientific contexts. Together with ESD, scientific literacy is relevant for a future-capable society. For me, this is a foundation for developing learning formats and projects that promote ESD. A particular interest of mine is the integration of digital technologies into teaching in order to support and enrich the learning process. My goal is to use digital tools effectively to make teaching more interactive and sustainable, and to prepare learners for the challenges of the future.

Before my work in Sachunterricht at Leuphana, I worked as a freelance course instructor in science education for children aged 4–12, and as a continuing education trainer for pedagogical professionals.

I completed my studies at TU Darmstadt in Chemistry, graduating as a chemical engineer.
