Marie Görsmann
Marie Görsmann is currently a student in the Bachelor’s degree program Lehren und Lernen (Teaching and Learning), with a focus on German and General Studies, at Leuphana University Lüneburg.
As a student research assistant in the project Leaders of Learner Empowerment (LoLE) at the Institute for Sustainability Education and Transdisciplinary Research, she engages with approaches to strengthening learners within the framework of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), particularly in the context of participatory school development and the Whole School Approach.
Marie Görsmann is especially interested in exploring how teaching can go beyond the mere transmission of knowledge. She is inspired by the idea of supporting children from an early age in understanding, questioning, and actively shaping their world. This is precisely where her work in the LoLE project connects, as fostering action competence, participation, and co-creation plays a central role. She understands ESD as a key approach for making future-related issues tangible, broadening perspectives, and promoting systems thinking.
Within the research group Sustainability Education, Marie Görsmann aims to contribute her experiences from her studies and project work, engage in the exchange of perspectives, and participate in the further development of future-oriented educational approaches.
