Eva Freund

Eva Freund has been a Lecturer with Special Responsibilities (LfbA) in the group since 2021. She has worked in ESD and Sachunterricht (primary science and social studies) since 2015, first as a research associate and visiting lecturer.

In teacher education for Sachunterricht she designs and teaches courses in the BA Teaching and Learning and the MEd Primary School Teaching, supervises coursework and theses and supports student teachers during the long-term practicum (GHR 300). Her seminars range from introductions to the subject and its didactics to ESD, Global Learning and qualitative research, with a focus on a multi-perspective Sachunterricht with an emphasis on the social sciences. She is particularly interested in Global Learning, above all political and economic education on topics such as consumption and nutrition, and in sexuality education. Her courses use discrimination-sensitive, action- and reflection-oriented formats.

After studying environmental sciences, she worked in transdisciplinary projects and teaching in vocational and business education at Leuphana and in projects outside the university on Global Learning, Fair Trade and sustainable nutrition.
